This holiday is aimed at teenagers who can walk trot and canter happily, with lots of riding and horse involvement..
Come and look after a horse/pony from Monday-- Friday or Thursday -- Monday exciting programme of rides through beautiful countryside & down quiet country lanes.
Learn about horse care & practical stable management, everything from the basics of grooming & tacking up to learning about rugging up your horse and applying different bandages. We also provide you with a personal stable management folder as a souvenir and as a record of your achievement , containing all your notes, quizzes and showday results.

Typical Day Junior
Initially, the children will learn how to handle the pony including tying-up and leading the pony. A typical day consists of feeding and grooming the horses and ponies, tacking up, and approximately 3 hours riding adult supervision. Children will be taught stable management and will learn to care for all the needs of the horses and ponies. The riding will be a mixture of trekking through the woods and along the farm tracks.
Additional Activities
After riding children will be able to enjoy a range of activities including swimming, games, films, picnics, barbecues, ball games and walks, so the day and evening are as full as you want them to be. Some of the social activities will be split by age.
we ride in groups of ability but this holiday caters for complete beginners who will start on the lead-rein to more experienced riders. The children will be supervised at all times during the day and evening and there will always be someone in the Log cabin to care for them. Parental consent is required for swimming, or any off-site trip.

On this unaccompanied children's horse riding holiday accommodation is in a large log cabin with delicious home-cooked meals and friendly hosts. There is 24 hour adult supervision providing for a great children's activity break, ideal for during the school holidays. There is plenty of riding, helping with pony care and outdoor fun.
